The reason why i'm creating this blog is because it is compulsory for me to have a blog for my module, Web Communication. The aim of the Web Presence Creation is for me to develop an initial online presence of myself.
For this assignment, I have to put certain elements, central node (this blog), About me page and exegesis. The central node is essentially my main website. I also have to provide with three contributing nodes. This contributing nodes must be different web 2.0 tools or services. Then, they will be linked from my central node and link back to here.
I have chosen Blogger (blogspot) as my central node. It is easy to use Blogger because it is based on Web 2.0 and it has provided you with a lot of interesting template and layout for me to choose from. This will the platform for me to do my Web Communication assignments.
I chose Twitter, Facebook and Youtube as my contributing nodes because I am familiar with these platform because i have an account for each. This platform also are used by a lot of people where I can share something I've found interesting. I have chosen a simple red as theme for this blog because it is my favourite colour.
Twitter is one of the contributing nodes I have chosen for this assignment. I can basically write anything I want and share it with my followers. It has restriction of not more than 140 letters when you want to tweet. By clicking the Twitter button, readers will go to my Twitter and from there people can link back to my blog.
Facebook is known as largest social network in the world and beat "Friendster" and "Myspace". I am one of the user. I can share my pictures, leave comments. I can also see my friend's photos and comments. with the presence of Web 2.0, my readers may read my blog from Facebook just by clicking the link that was created for readers to come and read my blog.
Youtube is where I can go and watch any videos I want. I can learn things from this website as well such as how to edit photos/videos for free. Other than this, I watch videos such as movie trailers, funny videos or music videos.
The theme for my blog is cars because I love cars. Going on 160km/h is the best feeling ever as if you are flying a plane. I don't go for simple cars. I love the exotic cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin or Roll Royce which someday I hope I will be driving in one of these. It always been my dream to drive in one of these car as a professional racer, unfortunately there are tons of obstacles blocking my way to achieve my dream.
This assignment made me realize how much we depend on the Web2.0. Without it, i can not share anything i want with my readers.
